ABSTRACT

Grounding impedance measurement is a traditional proficiency testing programs, 2014 proficiency testing program on the basis of original ability to verify, combined with actual detection need, innovation introduced two verification point of the power input socket and metal plane testing. This paper analyzes and discusses the results of the ability verification in 2014, and puts forward the points of attention and the recommended method of metal plane test.

ABSTRACT

With the new-style thoracentesis needles with spring-loaded valve designed by ourselves, thoracentesis were carried out in 60 patients with ages ranging from 2 to 74 years. The successful rate for the operation was 100% (198/198), without any major complications such as pneumothorax, hemothorax, pleural shock or infection. The results show that this kind of puncture needle is multi-purpose and easy to operate, with high safety and reliability.

ABSTRACT

Malignant tumor is the common disease that threaten severely to people's health. Formulae of traditional Chinese medicine (FTCM), as the major component of traditional drugs, has played more important role on the prevention and cure to tumor. The Folkman's theory that tumorous growth depends on tumor neovascularization has been confirmed so many years, so to inhibit the tumor angiogenesis, is an important path to treat tumor. The research of FTCM to antagonizing tumor angiogenesis in our country has been started more lately. Since it has been reported some FTCMs can inhibit angiogenesis, and it also exists many problems. The article summarized the correlated research of FTCM to antagonize tumor angiogenesis for the past several years, and according this, analyzed, stated and commented to the problems, countermeasures, development and direction of PTCM to antagonize tumor angiogenesis.

ABSTRACT

Objective To describe the surgical technique in reconstructing anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) with six strands harmstring tendon graft fixed by bioabsurbable rigidfix cross pins under arthroseopy and to e-valuate its efficacy. Methods From March 2005 to June 2008,39 patients with ACL injury were treated with ACL reconstruction by transplantation of six strands autogenous harmstring tendon , fixed by bioabsorbable rigidfix cross pins in femoral side. There are 22 male and 17 female, ages from 22 to 55 (the average age is 37). 19 cases were hurt in traffic accident, and another 20 cases in accidental injury. The state of illness is 7 days to 38 months. 13 cases merge the meniscus rupture, and 4 cases of meniscus suture,8 partial meniscectomy, 1 meniscectomy were performed simultaneously ;4 cases associating with the medial collateral ligaments Ⅲ degree injure underwent medial collateral ligament neo-plasty or reconstruction ;no cases merge posterior cruciate ligament injury, the patients were followed up 12 to 51 months , Pre-and post-operative knee joint function and stability were evaluated according to the Lysholm scoring scale system and the results of KT-2000 arthrometer , the clinical results and the reliability of the fixation were analyzed. Results 32 patients were followed-up and there is no limitation of the extention in the knee joints. The flexation of the knee joint is greater than 120°,and the anterior drawer test in 90° of flexation were negative in all patients. The postoperative Lachman test was strong positive in 1 case, negative in 26 cases and positive in 5 cases. The Lysholm scores was (92.6±4.2) points. The results of KT-2000 arthrometer: 31 cases 0-4.5 nun, average 3.2 mm;1 case 6. 5 mm. Conclusions It is a safe and reliable method to reconstruct ACL with six strands harmstring tendon graft fixing by bioabsorbable rigidfix cross pins under arthroscopy, and this procedure can obtain primary stabilization and long term stabilization of the autografts.

ABSTRACT

BACKGROUND: A mass of unknown remains are founded in sodium hyaluronate product when it was tested for quality control. OBJECTIVE: To qualify and quantify unknown residual solvents of sodium hyaluronate product and determine hazardsaccording to standard toxicological data. DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING: A quality and quantity study with combined gas chromatography mass spectrometry was performed at National Institute for the Control of Pharmaceutical and Biological Products from May to June 2007.MATERIALS: Experimental samples were spot-checked, and purified water was also used.METHODS: The samples were qualified and quantified using combined gas chromatography mass spectrometry.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Methanol, xylene and ethyl benzene were qualified and quantified.RESULTS: Combined gas chromatography mass spectrometry demonstrated that residual solvents in the sodium hyaluronateproducts were methanol, xylene, and ethyl benzene. The quantization of methanol was 414.365 μg/mL, the quantization of o-xylene was 0.19 μg/mL, and the quantization of ethyl benzene was 0.22 μg/mL. CONCLUSION: Methanol, xylene, and ethyl benzene were firstly identified as residual solvents in sodium hyaluronate products. Besides, we discussed methods of qualifying and quantifying these three residual solvents.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVETo provide experimental data of different oral mucosa suitable to repair denudated palate.

METHODSThirty Japanese white rabbits (5 weeks old) were divided into three groups: I group (left hard palate was denudated with right side intact), II group and III group (both sides of the hard palate were denudated with right side repaired by palatal mucosa or buccal mucosa correspondingly). Then the effect of different transplanted mucosa on preventing maxillary deformity was investigated and compared.

RESULTSMaxillary development in the three groups was same and no significant differences among them were discovered.

CONCLUSIONBuccal mucosa is effective in serving as reparative tissue for preventing maxillary deformity.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVEThe purpose of this study was to observe the healing process of palate wound with denuded bone restored with transplanted buccal or palatal mucosa and to elucidate the mechanism of maxillary growth inhibition following palate repair.

METHODS32 Japan white rabbits, 5 weeks old, were selected as the subjects for this study. They were divided into 4 groups at random. The rabbits in group I was the control without receiving any treatment. The rabbits in group II, III, IV was surgically denuded the bone of palate, and afterwards, the rabbits in group II were not received further restoration, but rabbits in group III and IV were restored with transplanted buccal and palatal mucosa respectively. From 2 to 14 weeks after surgery, at regular intervals, palatal wounds were observed by using a light microscope. Histological changes were also compared among different groups.

RESULTSIt was found in group II that dense connective tissue was formed 2 weeks after the surgery, and Sharpey's fibers was formed between the scar and bone tissue 4 weeks after the surgery. However, no Sharpey's fiber was found in group III and group IV, and in the latter two groups, the histological character of tissue was similar to that of the control.

CONCLUSIONPrevention of the attachment of Sharpey's fibers to the palatal bone could be effectively accomplished by covering the denuded palatal bone with the transplanted buccal or palatal mucosa.
